Reflecting upon today's devotional, a question is raised: Where do we begin our service to Christ?
If we begin through a self effort, then we are nothing more that mere humans trying to be godly (Gal. 3:3). However, if it begin and continue in constant surrender and submission to Christ, then we can be sure that our Lord will continue to call His lambs through each of us, "Come unto Me..." (Matt. 11:28).
We are the means that Father chooses to manifest His only begotten Son to those of us who do not yet believe. How can anyone ever "taste and see that the Lord is good," if we do not bring forth Fruit?
The process of being made broken bread and poured out wine means that
you have to be the nourishment for other souls until they learn to feed
on God. They must drain you to the dregs. Be careful that you get your
supply, or before long you will be utterly exhausted. Before other
souls learn to draw on the life of the Lord Jesus direct, they have to
draw on it through you; you have to be literally "sucked," until they
learn to take their nourishment from God.
God does not need us, He has chosen us. Are we kind to His reputation and confidence?
